Who We Are
Molding Mighty Men Mentoring Program
Vision: "To develop future leaders by nurturing young men through mentorship, character building, and biblical principles. We offer co-ed programming that promotes spiritual formation and discipleship in Christ through athletics, physical fitness, and Biblical training."
Mission: "Our mission is to provide a supportive environment where at risk students, especially young men can grow spiritually, emotionally, and academically through personalized mentorship and community engagement."
Molding Mighty Men was established in 1994, as Coach Penn coached Basketball for Christ Fellowship Atlanta. Many athletes were in fatherless homes or were at eisk of academic failure. He found that monthly Bible Studies held at The Shepherd's Training Academy cultivated spirtual formation and faith development and promoted social and emotional development. Coach Penn served as the athletic director and established tee ball, basketball, baseball, basketball and flag football programs where student athletes devloped fundamental skills and Christian character simultaneously. He offered physical education classes and Blessed andBright Preschool and Church on Main of Snellville over the years. Coach Penn became a coach and Bible Teacher for Young Americans Christian School in 2016 and The Shepherd's Academy in 2020. After witnessing firsthand the impact upon pandemic related anxiety and social media upon student and parent requests, he relaunched Molding Mighty Men.

Team
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Christian discipleship through athletics requires team members to be committed to transformational and servant leadership that changes one from the inside out. We are committed to your child's growth in their relationship with the Lord. May they imitate us as we imitate Christ. Luke 6:40 is a verse from the Bible that says, “The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master”. The verse means that a disciple should not expect to be greater than his teacher, but should strive to be like him. The verse also suggests that a disciple who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher.
