Homeschool PE Classes Monday & Wednesday
2nd and 3rd graders develop faith; improve strength, agility, endurance; and meet friends.
Service Description
The purpose of physical education is to develop and strengthen the student in both body and spirit through conditioning. It is a participation method that promote holistic development (physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual). Activities are designed to develop strength, speed, endurance, coordination, and cooperation. Students will develop their motor skills by using games and age appropriate movement drills. As they participate in structured “team oriented” sports such as kickball, softball, and basketball, students will experience and discuss issues related to participation, personal fitness, and a appreciation of a healthy and active lifestyle. PE also aims to develop a biblical worldview of God's metanarrative of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration as it pertains to purpose and identity in Christ, an understanding of the need for practice and exercise, and functioning as a team (e.g., the body of Christ). Therefore, honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:20
